A FUTURISTIC CONCEPT OF ELECTRIC BIKE !

VILLENEUVE D'ASCQ, France - Decathlon has a long history of involvement in the bicycle sector. The firm has up to now concentrated on creating mid-range bicycles and e-bikes. Before now. By releasing its B'Twin Magic Bike, a futuristic concept e-bike, the French shop has now demonstrated its capacity to develop unique cycling items.

Since it won't be sold, like many concept motorcycles, the Magic Bike has no price or release date. But it does provide a glimpse into how Decathlon perceives the evolution of its e-bikes in the future.

"Our goal is to get as many individuals on bikes or scooters as we can, assisting them in making the transition to soft mobility. We create, discover, and put into practice innovative ways to better suit their requirements, focusing notably on electric assistance to make these procedures even more accessible. We chose to design this concept bike to represent these answers," the French retail behemoth reveals.

A Fantastic Tool For Bikers In Cities

Wide tubes and an open frame are used in the construction of the B'Twin Magic Bike. Regarding the motor and driving mechanism, Decathlon provided no details. They merely stated that they chose a belt transmission because it is easy to maintain and has an automated gearbox since it is handy. Given that the e-bike is designed for urban use, this option seems ideal.

Decathlon has unveiled a pretty intriguing concept to power the Magic Bike. A range of 30, 60, or 90 km may be achieved by adding up to three battery packs. It appears that Decathlon is presenting a system that enables changing damaged components or transporting extra power when necessary. The frame incorporates the battery charger as well.

One Braking Lever Alone

The curved handlebar is another outstanding feature. It has two indicators at each end and an integrated broad strip of LEDs for the front light. The handlebar incorporates the display. The Magic Bike is completely networked and can be synced with a smartphone, according to Decathlon. The e-bike may be locked with an alarm using the central kickstand as well.

There is only one brake lever on the B'Twin Magic Bike. This lever is directly controlling the two disc brakes, which send 40% of the braking power to the back and 60% to the front.
